Initially, this position will require expertise and focus on alkylation technology. Knowledge and expertise of hydroprocessing technology will be a developmental goal.
Essential Job Functions for Alkylation Technologies:
Technical Services 1. Unit Checkout and Startup Assistance Services 2. Operator Training - Material development and delivery 3. Troubleshooting Services for Existing and New Units - Email, phone conversations, customer site visits 4. Optimization Studies 5. Communicate progress and status of technical service efforts 6. Perform quality reviews of technical service deliverables
Process Engineering 1. Attend customer project-related meetings - Kick-off, PFD, P&ID, HAZOP, SIL, 3D Model, other meetings 2. Assist in P&ID preparation 3. Assist with revamp designs 4. Performance test runs 5. Engineering studies
General Job Description: Provides advanced technical expertise to the customer in the operation and application of DuPont technologies, including processing techniques and troubleshooting. Provides technical expertise to business development, vendors, and other internal/external partners by providing deeper understanding of technology operations, as well as of technology limitations. Will assist organization with technology improvements.
Dupont is an e-verify employer To successfully perform the essential functions of the Technical Service Consultant position, the candidate must possess a BS in Chemical Engineering and have at least 5 years of refining experience, or have at least 15 years of refining experience, including alkylation operations. The candidate must be customer oriented, well organized, computer literate, and possess good oral and written communication skills. Interfacing with organizations and customers of various nationalities will be required. Initiative must be demonstrated in dealing with these customers and meeting DuPont's goals. A strong understanding of engineering best practices is required.
This position spends up to 50% of the time traveling nationally and internationally.
