Job Description
•Create and revise labeling artwork layouts and specifications based on mark-ups, corporate graphic standards, procedures, and previously established formats.
•Prepare and route labeling packages for approvals.
•Perform prepress activities necessary to prepare labeling artwork files for accurate output by supplier.
•Perform product data and documentation entry, product configuration, and processing of labeling artwork and labeling specifications in product lifecycle management system.
•Proofread labeling artwork utilizing measurement and inspection tools (e.g., rulers, calipers, bar code scanner) and related documentation.
•Organize and facilitate labeling development and approval meetings.
•Review labeling for accuracy and compliance to procedures. Ensure all document and system elements are identified, accurate and assembled for review and approval.
•Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak effectively before groups.
•Aid in training internal and external personnel on labeling related processes and systems.
•Time Management skills-managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Job Requirements
•Product/document configuration experience
•Intermediate level desktop publishing skills and document management (e.g. Word) software skills
•Basic Graphics/Illustrations software skills
•Project management skills
•Page layout fundamentals
•Understanding and effective usage of Corporate Graphics Standard for packaging labeling
•Must have excellent conceptual, analytical, written and verbal configuration skills
•Comprehension of design methodology, product configuration and complex manufacturing processes
•Ability to work under strict deadlines and changing priorities with minimal supervision
•Strong interpersonal skills and great attention to detail are necessary
•Must be a strong team player with good problem solving, and good verbal and written communication skills
•Must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently, have computer experience and have knowledge of FDA Regulations, Application of Good Laboratory Practices, and Application of Good Manufacturing Practices Education and Experience:
•High school and 4 or more years experience with Baxter Product Data Management/documentation systems or equivalent change control system
•Knowledge of product data/document configuration management.
•Experience in leading teams Preferred Qualifications:
•Intermediate level desktop publishing skills, utilizing page layout and graphic design software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop) with competent knowledge of prepress activities
•Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design or related field from an accredited college or university
•Working knowledge of measurement tools such as calipers, rulers, and ability to read and understand blueprints/drawings, physicals specifications, and packaging specifications
•Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, decimals, and X/Y coordinates
•Ability to navigate through the Mac and PC desktop, computer drives, directories, folders, and applications, etc.
•Ability to accurately enter data, data files, and perform configuration of product data in a product lifecycle management system
•Demonstrate good time management and organization skills with the ability to consistently maintain a high level of attention to detail, while working with deadline time pressures, changing priorities and distractions
•Ability to work under strict deadlines and changing priorities with minimal supervision,)
•Ability to manage multiple labeling changes and projects by managing long-term deadlines and anticipating project steps to ensure projects are consistently completed on time
•Ability to effectively train others utilizing procedures and appropriate training materials
