R&D Engineer-Automotive Electronics/Design/ Development/Hardware/ Software
Searching for an experienced R&D Electronics Engineer for St. Louis, MO area. Company global manufacturer in the automotive industry specializing in service equipment such as wheel balancers, lift racks, and more. 2+ years experience in automotive industry needed in similar type position. BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Responsibilities:
-> Design and develop the electronics for new products
-> Develop the hardware and software for a next generation communication system between the product and the vehicle
-> Perform new product research and conceptual design as assigned by the Manager
-> Perform system tests to validate product specifications
Requirements:
-> Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
-> MUST have 2+ years of work experience in the automotive industry
-> Some experience with CAN and OBDII, scan tools and vehicle electrical systems required
-> MUST have the ability to design, develop and evaluate hardware and software (C, C++, firmware).
-> Strong communication skills for working with customers and internal teams are required
