Job Description
Manage projects in the development and implementation of disposable devices for use with BioPharmaceutical products.
1) Manage implementation of devices with applicable biologics. Devices may be current existing devices, or implementation with the biologic may be an extension of the device development program.
2) Work with appropriate technical resources to develop device concepts and identify customer requirements for new devices.
3) Identify project resource requirements, establish team roles and responsibilities, and provide clear direction on product development requirements to meet expectations of external customers and business stakeholders
4) Drive implementation of programs by establishing strategies, schedules, and budgets.
5) Identify project risk areas and make recommendations regarding appropriate risk mitigation.
6) Monitor and report project status. Interact through program updates and reviews with all levels of management.
7) Travel: 5-10%
Job Requirements
1) Plan projects using appropriate tools (typically, MS Project)
2) Display a solid understanding of engineering principles and provide solutions that reflect understanding of business objectives and cost implications.
3) Familiarity with CAD (such as Solidworks, ProE, etc) and common analysis tools (e.g. Finite Element Analysis, Mold Flow, Design of Experiments) preferred.
4) Operate effectively in a team environment. Demonstrated leadership in a matrix organization.
5) Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members, and gain consensus. Must be able to communicate in English; German preferred.
6) Willing to adapt working hours to global team requirements (especially in US).
BS or MS in engineering (mechanical or biomedical, preferred) and minimum 3 years related work experience.
Medical device and/or plastics/molding experience preferred.
Preferred: PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
