Position Responsibilities
Provide process engineering support to operations and maintenance organizations
Define and implement process upgrades to improve operability and cost effectiveness
Prepare and execute projects that improve safety and operability of the plant
Provide root cause failure analysis of operating problems
Support the design and implementation of capital
Demonstrate leadership skills
Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate analytical skills
Demonstrate planning & organizational skills
Demonstrate personal motivation & initiative with strong desire to learn
Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team environment
Demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft based PC software
Position Requirements
BS in Chemical Engineering
At least 3 years of experience in the petroleum and/or chemical processing industry in a plant environment
Position Preferences
MS in Chemical Engineering
At least 5 years of experience in the petroleum and/or chemical processing industry in a plant environment
Applied ASPEN modeling experience
Physical Requirements
Must be able to enter and move about in confined spaces and wear personnel protective equipment
Must be able to climb stairs in operating unit
Ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions for various periods of time
Must be willing to work periodic workdays in excess of 8 hours
Must be willing to relocate to Victoria Texas
Other Considerations
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now and in the future
Must have a valid and current government issued drivers license.
