Mechanical Engineer-Refinery Design/Chemical Process Plants/Mechanical Integrity
Mechanical Engineering role located in Shreveport, LA for a consultation, assessment and analysis services company in refining design.
Responsibilities:
-> Participate in design reviews, including overall project, drawing, and test plan reviews.
-> Assists in: Project Management, Scheduling, Cost estimating, Process Flow Diagram (PFD) development, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) development, Pump sizing, Piping layout.
-> Develop specification data sheets for equipment and maintain RES Standards, Specifications, and Standard Drawings.
-> Report writing: Developing narratives on operation of mechanical systems; Proofreading contributions from other engineers; Constructing tables of data, equipment descriptions, data sheets, etc. as required. Organizing and assembling reports including tables of contents, report subdivisions, and appendices.
Requirements:
-> BS in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering field with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in refining or chemical processing design/ operations/ processes/ maintenance.
-> Assist clients interest in construction oversight, catalyst loading, catalyst regenerations, refinery test runs, researching best practices in specific plant operational or engineering issues, participating as Mechanical Integrity subject matter expert (SME) in Process Hazards Analyses (PHA).
