Manager, Global Sales Strategy
This purpose of this role will be to support Global Direct Selling Strategy projects as required under the direction of Global Sales Strategy leads. In addition to project work, the role will have ongoing responsibilities to manage GDS & BMI Integrated Project Plans, produce Strategic Communications, and provide ad-hoc business analysis in support of Senior Leadership.
The role will be required to work closely with GDS Strategy and its partners to scope, plan and execute Projects relating to the future direction of the company’s Sales Model. Within a Project, this role will primarily be responsible for executing complex business analysis, identifying issues and prioritizing opportunities for performance improvement. The role will also be required to lead individual set-pieces to conduct qualitative study of the how the overall business model impacts the performance and direction of the company’s Sales Model (e.g Competitive Analysis, Organizational Structures, Operating Environment etc.)
The job holder must have the ability to translate analysis into hypotheses for further study and validation by GDS leadership. This will require the job holder to have the business acumen and work experience to understand how the analytical outcomes are influenced by the operational and geographical variances of the company’s markets. The job holder must also have the ability to understand the various functions within company’s business and how they interact with Global Sales.
Position Responsibilities:
Support the ongoing documentation and coordination of the Integrated Project Roadmap (GDS, BMI, SMT)
Ownership of the "Competitor Sales Model Library" - proactively monitor, update and communicate Competitor news that impacts the competitiveness of company’s Sales Model to the team
Support the development of strategic communications as part of the wider responsibilities of the Global Sales Strategy department
Conduct ad-hoc Financial/KPI analysis as required by GDS strategic initiatives
Execution of analysis and qualitative studies that advance the company’s Sales Strategy
On-time and quality delivery of required work
Ability to work across GDS teams, GBU functions and with Markets to execute work plans
Scoping, Planning and Executing pieces of work related to GDS Strategy Projects
Coordination and Documentation of the Integrated Project Roadmap
Developing Strategic Communications
Conducting ad hoc Financial/KPI Reporting in support of Global Sales Strategy
Position Requirements:
Bachelors' degree in Business; MBA preferred. 3 to 5 years of experience required.
Must have an understanding of the Direct Selling Industry, although in-depth knowledge not required. However, this role will require the job holder to have deep knowledge of how to work in a Matrix environment of a Multi-National Corporation. Ideally, this person will have a background in working in one or more Corporate Functions - or - strong experience in a top-tier Management Consultancy
The job holder will be required to work closely with other teams within GDS (Sales Development, Business Model Innovation) as well as other GBU's, Finance and IMI in particular. It is expected that the job holder will have the skills and business experience to rapidly build credible relationships across the Matrix and in the Markets
This role requires the job holder to understand complex operational and financial issues and develop and implement highly structured problem solving approaches.
This job holder will be sought as a resource by Global Sales Strategy team in the development of high impact analysis and communications.
Success in this role requires the ability to act independently in engaging a wide variety of stakeholders, conducting analysis, interpret complex data, identify issues and opportunities.
