Role synopsis - For one or more operational Areas (physical operating locations) produce and manage a high quality integrated activity schedule which supports safe, reliable operations.
- Optimise the integrated Area schedule to minimise risk, confirm/ensure deliverability and maximise value.
- Recommend which activities to execute or reschedule when the full activity set falls outside Area scheduling constraints.
- Ensure that schedule change conforms with Activity Planning management of change guidelines
- Provide primary liaison between the AP Systems & Tools team and the AP Area scheduling team.
- Build and sustain scheduling capability to support the Area.
- Recommend development of Area and Site Schedulers.
Key accountabilities Scheduling "Right Hand" to the Area Operations Manager and their leadership team.
- Drive value through integration of functional discipline activities with ongoing area activities across the 8Q and 12/6-week time horizons.
- Ensure the Area schedule is fully deliverable within Area resource and scheduling constraints.
- Support the Area Operations manager in understanding the long-term activity plans for the Area and the schedule for activity delivery
- Liaise and cooperate with AP Functional Leads/Schedulers and functional discipline staff to support the optimization of functional schedules and delivery of functional activities.
- Ensure that all activities are ready for execution by meeting the appropriate scheduling gate readiness criteria established by the Region Activity Planning group

Chair the Area 8-Quarter and 12-week Scheduling Meetings
- Identify and discuss any activities that present risk to safe and efficient delivery of the Area schedule.
- Identify and resolve cross-functional schedule conflicts
- Manage the review and inclusion of emergent work into the Area schedule.
- Ensure that Schedule Waiver Requests and Plan Change Proposals follow Regional Activity Planning guidelines
Owner of the Area's Scheduling Processes
- Ensure that all Area scheduling processes conform to Upstream and Region Activity Planning standards.
- Provide leadership to Area and Site Schedulers
- Build organizational scheduling capability to deliver continued value to the Area.
- Communicate to key stakeholders as required to ensure optimised, safe and effective delivery of activity outcomes.

Lead AP Systems & Tools User
- Drive the implementation of standard AP Systems & Tools processes across the Area.
- Provide review and confirmation of all changes that affect the Area or its scheduling processes.
- Support the Systems & Tools team in development and delivery of Area systems, tools and training material.

Drive site execution efficiency
- Monitor Activity Planning Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and identify functional and Area improvement opportunities.
- Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) of Region processes that impact Area scheduling processes.
Essential Education - High school diploma or GED required
Essential experience and job requirements Multiple years experience in Upstream Oil and Gas Industry.
Planning & Scheduling
- Understanding and experience with planning and scheduling concepts.
- Understanding and experience in schedule integration across multiple groups and multiple time horizons.

Technical
- Working knowledge of planning and scheduling tools.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Management and Interpersonal
- Strong organization, negotiation and influencing skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels and build sustainable beneficial
relationships
- Experience in leading or coordinating small teams.
- Personal understanding and commitment to HSSE.
- Demonstrated success working in high performance environments.

- Proven ability to plan and schedule within constraints and recognize/ resolve conflicts.
Desirable criteria & qualifications - Experience in the use of Primavera scheduling software
- Experience with resource allocation analysis and levelling.
- Broad operations and/or projects experience
- BS engineering or operations management degree
