The Staff Engineer will interact with customers and sales personnel to provide technical solutions, expert advice on product usage and applicability enhance the technical aspects of the products and applications of filtration and purification. To provide technical support for Pall Biopharm products. This will include some or all of the following: * Feasibility assessments * Filterability studies * Scale up/ scale down testing * Sizing recommendations * Compatibility evaluations * Trouble-shooting * Guidance on filtration & TFF or chromo operations * Operator trainingRequired Skills
1. Be an expert in Biotech processes - primary purpose to increase number of applications that have Pall specified and therefore increase Pall sale 2. To educate and advise customers of best suited Pall technology. To do this must have a good knowledge of Pall separation technologies and develop a common approach of which product to use and where in a Biotech process 3. Provide technical input into R&D and R&D Application group activities 4. Perform and coordinate bench scale test work to demonstrate how to get the best out of Pall products 5. Contribute to Sales and Marketing in the planning and presentation of Biotech seminars 6. Coordinate the identification and generation of necessary technical documents for internal and customer useRequired Experience * Self starter and self motivated * Ability to plan and organise test work * Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing * Ability to operate as a member of a multidisciplinary team including sales, marketing & SLS etc * Knowledge of scientific principles and practices relevant to Biopharm customers and processes * Good interpersonal skills to motivate others within and outside department * Prepared to work unsociable hours and travel in own time 3-5 years minimum relevant experience preferably in Biotech industry Job LocationPune, MAHARASHTRA INPosition TypeFull-Time/Regular
