Disaster Preparedness Spec
Develops and maintains disaster and emergency planning and management plans, policies, and procedures, and provides advice and recommendations on all aspects of emergency planning and management at both the tactical and strategic levels. Develops, maintains and tests detailed plans for organizations to ensure the overall safety and security of employees and assets, and the continuity of business processes. Directs the process of identifying causes, categorizing, reporting critical department processes and resource requirements including establishing timeframes, recovery windows, and priorities. Develops disaster preparedness communications, training, exercises and drills. Candidate will support training and exercise activities primarily in in the Washington DC Metro area.
Basic Qualifications: Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience in the emergency management preparedness field.
Experience writing plans, policy, and doctrine
Experience in training and exercise programs at the state, regional or federal level
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP)
Knowledge of NIMS, NRF, and ICS
Experience with multi-agency command centers, fusion centers, and emergency operations centers
Experience in public speaking/oral presentations.
