Application Engineer-Water Purity/Process/BOM
Leading water treatment company seeks a skilled Applications Engineer In Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a full-time direct hire position offering competitive base salary and benefits! Must have experience with high-purity water treatment applications for Industrial markets. Relocation assistance is available.
Responsibilities:
-> Review client RFQ specifications and develop alternate process engineering & design strategies
-> Create, discuss and finalize the optimum design, and develop the Process Flow Diagram.
-> Develop preliminary Piping & Instrumentation Drawings to reflect process design parameters and interactions within the team of Sales, Engineering and Production.
-> Make sizing, material and component selections and recommendations
-> Develop Bill Of Material with Engineering Production and Procurement, and develop best Cost Estimate
-> Manage customer interactions following proposal submittal, prepare contract packages to include the team and follow through with the project during execution phases
-> Technical support for sales, and up to 10% travel US and International
Requirements:
-> Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field with 3 - 10 years experience in assessing feasibility and generating proposals for high purity water treatment systems
-> Independent, self-motivated, self-starter, problem solving team player
-> Conceptual problem solving skills with the ability to access the ?big picture? to identify opportunities and implement positive change
-> Strong environmental, health and safety knowledge, and focus on quality, cost and execution excellence
-> Ability to set aggressive goals and targets and meet them, to embrace change as an opportunity, and to build and maintain strong customer relationships
