Job Description ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
MS SQL Server 2008 R2 database administration and development of database solutions within an 4.0 web environment. Writes code (T-SQL, C#) and performance tunes for database access, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures (CRUD) and views. Develops Data warehouse/data analytics databases for efficient/effective analytical and report processing. Participates in the development of performance dashboards and reports using SharePoint, SSRS, Performance Point, SAP Crystal Reports. Work in a multi-company, multi-site environment to develop DB schemas that interface with and effectively consolidate data from an external web-based system. Collaborate with internal development with external developer activities. Customer interaction for installation and setup of initial versions of the web product. System debug and testing.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have 5+ years of relevant database experience in a Microsoft Database development environment. BS in Computer Science or equivalent (minimum). Established skills with design/development of MS SQL Server (2005-2008 R2); normalized databases, T-SQL, views, stored procedures, UDFs, CRUD, DAL, N-tier, ORM, replication, etc. Strong development skills using .Net Framework 4.0, , C#, MS IIS Familiar with database development tools like MS SQL Server Mgmt Studio and Red Gate SQL Developer Bundle. Significant experience developing DB schemas. (2+years) Experience in Data Warehouse design and use of MS SQL Analytical Tools. (5+ years) Experience using DTS/SSIS for ETL Comfortable in a role as DBA, managing development, test, and production databases in several configurations (Express, Standard, Enterprise). (2+ years) in DB performance optimization (physical, logical, code) and performance testing. Able to install and setup internal and customer environments. Proven ability to work in complex, multi-site, multi-team environments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong foundation of Object-Oriented Design and Development Concepts. Familiar with iterative methodologies such as Agile and Scrum. (Desired) Familiarity with SharePoint usage and development. (Desired) developer certifications, i.e., MCPD, MCAD, MCSD
