Job Description
Summary: Responsible for the design, development, and execution of quality, engineering and manufacturing projects. Translating project goals into experimental designs and statistical analyses plans. Perform statistical analyses using applicable software and methodology. Report results to clients via presentations and written reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This section contains a list of five to eight primary responsibilities of this role that account for 5% or more of the work. The incumbent will perform other duties assigned.
•Advise clients on statistical issues related to protocol study design for pre-clinical, R&D, quality, engineering, manufacturing and other investigative studies, and provide guidance.
•Design experiments including sample size to achieve client objectives, write or assist with writing statistical section of protocol, analyze data from protocol studies using appropriate statistical software, and provide presentation of results and/or write statistical report to document results.
•Provide clients with practical and meaningful verbal/graphical interpretation of statistical results and document results in reports. Some reports may be used for FDA submissions and/or inquires.
•Review client reports based on statistical report(s) previously written, and provide feedback.
•Apply scientific and technical background beyond statistical expertise to aid in the understanding of problems being addressed by the technical functional groups..
•The statistician will stay abreast of new statistical methodologies and explore, develop and specify new innovative statistical solutions where applicable

Job Requirements
•A minimum of MS in Applied Statistics with BS in preferably Materials Science and Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering plus 2-5 years of applied experience, or PhD 1-2 year industry experience
•
A major in mathematics or computer science is a plus. Demonstrated in depth knowledge of statistical software such as JMP, S-plus, R, Minitab and SAS.
•
•In-depth knowledge in area such as material engineering, experimental design, Bayesian analysis, mixed models, simulations and optimization is a plus.
